Planning A Family Reunion The Easy Way

Posted in General Resources, Entertainment, Travel by announcer

Summertime’s almost upon us, and around our house that means it’s time for the annual gathering with all relatives near and far! Unfortunately, all the hard work of planning a family reunion has fallen to me this year. With grandparents, four uncles and their four spouses, and eighteen (that’s right, eighteen!) cousins, it’s a job for an army. But there’s only one of me, so I need all the help I can get.
The first hurdle with planning a family reunion has always been where to go. When you’ve got relations in Colorado, North Carolina, Missouri, Utah, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Florida, there’s really no such thing as a convenient spot!

Omega 3 Oils And Their Benefits

Posted in Health, Travel by

The fatty acids of Omega-3, which are also called n-3 fatty acids, are chemical substances that naturally exist in some types of fats and oils. Since oils containing Omega-3 are among the most important sources of fatty acids, they are highly required for a normal growth. Furthermore, they involve a large number of many other benefits.

Omega 3 oils have many beneficial effects, including reducing the risk of thrombotic stroke and heart disease, reducing cholesterol, improving immune system activity, and stimulating blood circulation while reducing blood pressure. They have also been linked with positive effects in schizophrenia treatment, as well as being considered a “brain food” for many years, although without significant scientific evidence.

Although eggs and walnuts are also source of omega 3 oils but fish is renowned one. Mackerel, sardines, anchovies, salmon, and herring, besides tuna to a slighter quantity have major supply of fish oil, which contains the seven times strong omega 3 oil than the other kinds of fish

Since so many people are consuming omega 3 oils by eating fish, which has been well documented to be beneficial, the Food and Drug Administration has gotten involved. They are concerned about heavy metal poisoning from fish used to produce these oils. Cold-water fish can accumulate arsenic, lead, nickel, mercury and cadmium, which are dangerous heavy metals. It is very important that you know the source of your omega 3 oils.

A reduction in blood pressure and a consequent improvement in circulation of the blood is one of the many effects of Omega 3. This may explain the migraine relief effects of Omega 3 fish oil, since the pain experienced by headache sufferers is caused by dilation of blood vessels, which is triggered by reduced blood flow in the brain. Ingesting Omega 3 decreases the instances of this reduction in blood flow, thus providing effective migraine relief.

The heart benefits by taking omega-3 oils, which increases the circulation in your body. If you take omega-3 oils on a regular basis, you can lower the risk of heart attack by reducing blood triglyceride levels in your body. A compound know as fibrin is broken down by omega-3 oils. This is important because this reduces the risk of clotting that may lead to a stroke or infarction.

Although flaxseed oil, eggs and walnuts are also source of omega 3 oils, fish is the most potent one. Salmon, sardines, tuna and anchovies have the highest omega 3 concentration - up to seven times more than other kinds of fish. A reduction in blood pressure and a consequent improvement in circulation of the blood is one of the many effects of this oil. This may explain the migraine relief effects of this oil, since the pain experienced by headache sufferers is caused by dilation of blood vessels, which is triggered by reduced blood flow in the brain.

Car Rental Comparison Information For The Smart Shopper

Posted in Network Articles, Travel by Online Resources

A car rental, car hire agency or rent-a-car is a company that rents automobiles for short periods of time which ranges from a few hours to a few weeks for a fee. Many families and individuals chart their business trips or vacations intricately so as to make every moment of the trip enjoyable.

So that everything goes smoothly, every detail is ironed out ahead of time. All the data related to the trip, lodging, local attractions and transportation are collected from reliable sources. There is a lot of organizing to do, no matter if the trip is for work or for fun. A crucial detail is to do a car rental comparison to maximize your travel budget.

When travelers arrive there, they should look into details about the car rental companies in the area. Good places to check first are local papers and phone books. After drawing up a short list of possible companies, they should compare prices and services before making any calls or signing anything. It’s vital to make a car rental comparison.

In the USA, you can easily find lots of reputable places to rent a vehicle from, including national chains. It will vary with the type of vehicle you rent, but if you do a car rental comparison, you can find a good value, which is generally around two hundred dollars for a week.

Some car rental places allow people to pre-pay and save a certain percentage, say 15%, on weekday and weekend rentals. Most companies offer a wide range of services that include flex fuel and coverage options, and even emergency roadside assistance service. If your company requires a massive rental of 10 or more cars, you can get a great rate on the rental cars. Private American citizens who are traveling outside the U.S. can also rent cars for tourism.

As long as you have a driver’s license and your own credit card, you will find that renting cars isn’t hard. You usually have to be at least twenty-five, however. If you are less than this you can probably still rent one, but there might be additional fees, or you need to have someone else guarantee the rental for you. You could get discount auto rentals from these places, as well.

Many arrangements have to be made for a trip, and securing a vehicle is very important. Doing a car rental comparison will help you save a lot of money. If you rent at the appropriate time or place, discount auto rentals can be easily located. Patrons who have current drivers licenses and credit cards under their own names will have no difficulty at all in renting cars. While you usually have to be at least 25 years of age, individuals who are not that old may be able to rent automobiles. Simply get somebody older to put his signature on the rental agreement too.

Working Abroad Can Be Addicting Way Of Life

The weird thing was how addictive the whole experience was. Once you get a taste for working abroad, sometimes it never goes away. When I started my work abroad, I was surprised at how many older people were on the same volunteer program that I was. Literally half of us were over the age of 40, and about 10 people in a program of 60 were over the age of 55. Soon, however, I understood why. There is a thrill in traveling that is beyond anything else in the world.

When I was working abroad, I was living in quite spartan accommodations in a village in the middle of Africa. There are plenty of other work abroad programs, however. One of the more popular ways to travel and live abroad is to teach English as a second language.

Fishing Trips

When I was a little kid, fishing trips were one of the highlights of the summer. We lived near a little river, and although nothing ever seen to be biting there, I was always confident that I would catch something that day. When my dad wasn’t Around, I walked down to the lake with my fishing tackle and spend the whole morning and early afternoon casting my line. I never caught anything, but the whole thing was so relaxing but it didn’t matter to me. It was the perfect fishing trip for a little kid.

Nonetheless, when I got a little bit older and my dad started to take me on real fishing trips, I was completely overjoyed. We didn’t go on any fishing charter trips till I was much older, but we would go lake fishing on some pretty big and rough fresh water. I loved being on a boat, bounding around on the waves. When I was 13, we even took a Lake Erie fishing trip, and I can tell you that it was one of the best times of my entire life. We actually got to live off what we caught, and it was a wonderful bonding experience between my father and I.

Checklist For Buying Timeshares

Posted in Home, Network Articles, Travel by Online Resources

Many buyers get confused when asked if they have a checklist of things to consider before buying a timeshare. The following paragraphs provide you with a checklist to make sure that you are not missing the important criteria that should be weighed against the timeshare you are buying.

If you plan to buy timeshare via a broker, ensure that he is licensed and make an attempt to discover his reputation. Be sure to ask good questions that are relevant to the timeshare. Here’s a few good questions to start with:

* What is the maintenance fee of the resort and do they keep raising it every year. If yes, how much? * What are the chances of getting a best timeshares like in a desired week? * By what date you should make the reservation at the earliest? * Are there any extra benefits accompanying your timeshare? * Do the timeshare company has bonus week program? * Can you exchange or trade your timeshare without joining an exchange company?

Also try to inquire from the broker about the point system. Some reputable firms sell the timeshares for more if they have points system. Ask him if this is reasonable or if you are better off buying a resale. Also, the factors that determine the cost of timeshare units are demand for a particular week may be high so the price may be high. Demand for a particular location may also be high. The size of the unit also affects the price, the bigger units are easy to trade in and exchange hence they are in more demand. Last, but not least, the reputation of the firm owning the timeshare resort is an important factor.

See the unit before you buy. In many cases, the descriptions provided by the timeshare company or the re-seller turns out to be misleading like the location, size of the unit, etc. If you cannot see it personally, if your family members or friends lives near the location tell them to go and see the unit. Additionally, try to get references. When you go and see the unit, ask the neighbors what they think of the amenities and the management. You can also inquire from them:

* How about the maintenance fees and other fees? Do they have a good record or they raise it too frequently? * Time since they have been vacationing in this resort? * Are dates easy get without much problems? * Is the management company good and are they satisfied? * Is it easy to make reservations and exchanges? * Are developers planning on improving the property in near future? * What they think of the resort?

Online auction sites can help you do your homework and find out the prices in the area you are looking at buying.

Remember, resale timeshare units should be half as much as new one sold through a timeshare company. Always read everything…all the fine print…carefully before signing contracts. Ask the seller why they are selling…it may turn up problems you need to be aware of. And ensure there are no past due fees on maintenance or property taxes. If you take all these factors into consideration when buying a timeshare, you should end up with a vacation destination you’ll enjoy for years to come!

Buy A Timeshare: Does It Make Sense?

Posted in Network Articles, Travel by Online Resources

You may have asked yourself the question: “Is it financially realistic (or realistic at all) to buy a timeshare? “Yes” and “No” can both be the answer to this question, as it depends on who is making the purchase and what the intention of the purchase is.

One of the most traditional answers could be that you own it, but when you rent something you don’t own it. The timeshare industry has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception in this country and many notions that people had earlier have been clarified. Large hotels and resorts are into timeshare business now. It is estimated to be a five billion dollar a year industry worldwide and approximately two million Americans have timeshares. You might be wondering what lured so many people in America alone to timeshares. Here are some reasons…

Consider a hotel: You pay the rent for staying in a hotel for a week. Suppose it is $900. If you consider a period of 30 years, multiply the cost of living in a hotel for 30 years with $900. It will be $27,000. You spend that much amount and only get a suite with only a bathroom. Now consider this, if you buy a timeshare for $10,000 which has a maintenance fee of $450 annually. The cost for 30 years will be $10,000 plus 450 multiplied by 30. The answer will be $23,500 which is $3,500 less than renting a hotel suite. But here is the interesting fact. You still get to own your time share property which will earn some money if not the original price. So your actual expenditure on your vacation will be far less than renting a hotel suite. Plus, who can ignore the comfort of a home in a timeshare property? A typical timeshare unit has two or three bedrooms, more than one bathroom, a kitchen, a laundry room and a pool and let’s not forget all the resort facilities.

Is it making sense now? It also saves you from the hassle of planning your vacation each year because you know when you have to go in turn, offering you a guaranteed vacation every year.

A timeshare can be viewed as money lying safely in a bank account. It can be sold at any time. Should you purchase a deeded plan, your heirs will also inherit your timeshare when you pass away.

Compare the timeshare with buying a vacation home. You don’t have to worry about upkeep and maintenance also. The management company will take care of everything. You just have to pay the maintenance fee for that. But what a pleasure to live like you are living in a hotel and still get a feel of your home and have to do nothing.

Many timeshare companies offer some discounts like bonus weeks, airfare discounts, car rentals, attraction tickets, restaurants and many more besides their benefits.
