So, you’ve just passed your driving test, what’s next. Many people relax and take no further training, but these are the people most at risk to crashing their car.
Pass Plus is a short course with no test that covers subjects such as motorways, bad weather, rush hour traffic and more.
In addition to the extra experience gained, most insurance companies will also give you a discount, normally working out at a year’s No Claims.
If you are looking for a driving school in Chelmsford that will do Pass Plus, the driving instructor who taught you for the driving test would be the best place. Failing that, speak to friends and family for recommendations, or by searching on the internet.

I couldn’t afford to go to college right out of high school, so I went directly into the work force instead. Ten years later, I am realizing that without a college diploma, I am getting overlooked for raises and promotions simply because I lack the education my higher-ups are looking for. However, I am more than qualified to do many of these jobs, because they are the same types of responsibilities that I have had for my entire employment history.
It wasn’t right and it wasn’t fair, but I didn’t argue. I just went out and found a way to grab those opportunities that I had previously missed out on with a life experience degree. These diplomas are given to individuals who can demonstrate a significant amount of knowledge in a topic gained through on-the-job training, seminars, and enrichment courses, and community service.

Divorce, or dissolution, as it is increasingly becoming known, a legislatively created, judicially administered process that legally terminates a marriage no longer considered viable by one or both of the spouses and that permits both to remarry. Divorce laws vary considerably around the world. Divorce has become ingrained in our culture; in the USA, divorce is primarily governed by specific state divorce laws. Divorce is formally called “dissolution of marriage” in Washington.State to State variations exist in Grounds for Divorce and Residency Requirements, Property Division, Alimony/Spousal Support, Custody, Child Support and Visitation. Divorce in New Hampshire often includes a name change. When it’s working, the Cornell webpage www.law.cornell.edu/topics/Table_Divorce.htm links to the divorce laws of the different States and to tables summarizing some of their salient points. Those interested in the divorce law of a particular jurisdiction should review its law directly rather than rely on the tables that may not be fully accurate or complete.
For example durational requirements go from a minimum of zero to 1 year, but be aware that California requires domicile as distinguished from residency for jurisdictional purposes. In States where living separate and apart is a key factor, the requirement can vary from 60 days to as much as 3 years. The acceptable grounds for divorce may or may not include incompatibility depending on the State.

If you are a learner driver and either have a car, or know someone who’s willing to let you use theirs, it could be useful to practice with between your driving lessons.
First of all the rules:
1. You must display L-Plates clearly front and back.
2. You must have a valid signed provisional licence.
3. The car must be roadworthy, legal and insured for you to drive.
4. You must be supervised. This person must be over 21 and have held a licence for at least 3 years, and sit in a position where they could control the car if needed (front passenger seat is the sensible choice)
So, now you’re out on the road, you need to remember a few things. The person sat next to you has very little control over the car, which means you’ve got to be confident that you can stop the car in an emergency. Also, you supervising driver is not a driving instructor, so be careful if they are telling you to do things that go against what you have been taught.
This can be the tricky part, but a bit of diplomacy can help here. Best to choose the person carefully. They need to be fairly relaxed. What you don’t want is them grabbing for the wheel every time you go round a parked car. If you don’t feel comfortable with the person who’s supervising you, either ask someone else, or best not to go out at all.
Private practice can help many people with learning to drive, but it can also get you into bad habits, and make you less confident if something happens that you can’t deal with.
If your not sure, get some advice from your driving instructor.

So you need a driving test ASAP? Is there a shortcut? Unfortunately not. There’s no list you can be put on, or a special number for you to call. However there are things you can do to increase your chances.
First of all, speak to your driving instructor to make sure you are ready, and they are available for the times you were looking for. Next, book the earliest test you can, it makes it easier to look for an earlier date.
Bookings can be done online through the DSA website (Online Services), or by phoning the DSA on 0300 2001122 and listen to the recorded message.
Once you’ve got a test booked, the easiest way to get your earlier test is to go back to the DSA online services and navigate through to the ‘manage your practical test booking’ then ‘check a test’. You then enter your details and if memory serves, choose ‘look for an earlier date’. When you’ve got the dates and times in front of you, you can refresh the page for up to 30 mins, before you need to start again.
You can also check for earlier tests by phoning up the DSA in the same way you would to book a test, but it’s more time consuming, and adds to your phone bill.

With summer coming soon, many people start to think about learning to drive. If you can’t get a recommendation from a friend, the internet and phonebooks are normally the next in line
But, how do you choose someone who is fully qualified?
Firstly, they will have a certificate/badge displayed on the front windscreen of their tuition vehicle (this is a legal requirement, not doing it while charging for driving lessons is illegal). It will either be a green octagon if the instructor is fully qualified, or a red triangle if the person is a trainee instructor (valid for 6 months)
All registered driving instructors have to undergo rigorous training and examinations , they are also Criminal Records Bureau checked at the enhanced level to ensure the safety of you the pupil. Fully qualified ADIs ( approved driving instructors ) have regular checks by the Driving Standards Agency to ensure their level of instruction is up to the required standard. Unregistered illegal instructors do not have any of this.
Don’t be afraid to ask about your instructor qualifications, if they’re genuine, they will be more than happy to provide you with the information you require. If you are still not sure, the DSA have a database of all registered instructors, so a phone call should clear it up.
Also, don’t be afraid to change instructors if you don’t feel happy. Learning to drive should be enjoyable, if your instructor shouts or gets impatient with you, they’re not being professional.
Happy Learning!!

I also like the Dora the Explorer goes on a lot of adventures. What is life if not a series of adventures? We all live through twists and turns and we never know where we are going to end up. Dora tries to make these adventures fun, while having a great lesson behind each and every single one of them. They are often not complicated adventures, but they serve their purpose rather well. My daughter loves to play with her map and pretend she is going on an adventure with Dora. There are characters that either help with the problem or are part of the problem, and that is an accurate reflection on how things are going to be as children grow up. We would like to think that everyone is helpful, but we all know that is not the case.
Lastly, Dora the Explorer also teaches about logic and problems solving in a way that children can understand. They have to help Dora make the right choices, and to think about what to do next. Those are great things for any child to learn. They can learn those things on their own most certainly, and should learn that from parents, but the extra push from Dora the Explorer certainly can’t hurt. While some children’s shows are questionable in the quality, this is one that I am sure is great for her to watch, and has taught her some things that will prove to be invaluable later in life.
