Botox Cosmetic has been used for a number of years to improve dynamic (muscular) wrinkles, and was FDA approved April, 2002 for cosmetic use. Botox Cosmetic is diluted Botulinum Toxin, initially used to control spasm of the eye muscles. Cosmetically, it is used to smooth and eliminate forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet and neck bands by weakening or paralyzing the active muscles responsible for these wrinkles.
