Home buyers consider much more than price and the condition of your home when buying. They look at several other factors as well, one of which is local schools. For individuals that have children, living close to a good school is important and sometimes will influence a buyer to spend more for the home than a similar home in a different part of town.

That is why it is important to gather information about your area and present it to the buyer in a well laid out format. A good way to do this is to get a 3-ring binder and fill it with neighborhood demographics, school information, shopping, etc. Include the things that you like and what makes your neighborhood unique. These days selling a home isn’t merely about how many bedrooms or bathrooms you have to offer, it is about community.
