From cousins, aunts, sisters, nieces, sisters in law, and friends, you could say I have many women in my family. So as you can imagine, I’ve been to a lot of different baby showers. But one of the most gorgeous and brilliant baby showers was one I went to recently.
They made something very special when they decided to use brand new ideas for baby showers. One of the most thoughtful things they did was that they brought gifts for the mother as well as the baby. I thought that was very nice, because the mother was able to get some well deserved pampering!
One of their greatest ideas for baby showers was to make individual tiny cakes for each guest rather than one large cake. There was also a game involved: A little plastic baby was baked into one of the cakes. Whoever got the baby won a prize!
They used many different designs for the cakes, which made it all the more fun and interesting. But how they decorated remains one of my favorite things about the baby shower. See, the mother to be chose not to find out the sex of her baby, so they couldn’t decorate the usual pink or blue.
Their entire room had cute little sayings like, “Mommy’s Little Princess or Daddy’s Little Quarterback?” There were a bunch of beautiful posters printed out with sayings like that. They even featured princess crowns and footballs!
This baby shower was one of the best that I’ve been to, and they had some of the best ideas for baby showers that I’ve seen. Try using some of the ideas above if you want to do something really unique. Most importantly, have lots of fun celebrating the upcoming arrival of your new bundle of joy!
