Video can be a key tool in becoming a CPA Ninja. One of the most popular methods, and most effective as well, to drive traffic to your site is via Video Marketing. Sharing a video online via popular services like YouTube.com has become simple even for the most technically challenged.
Some years ago, some creative marketers for CPA (Cost Per Action) came up with a strategy of using videos to promote a bunch of popular music artists. What they were doing was using the videos to promote a ringtone CPA offer and they had amazing success doing so.
It was a pretty simple video and then at the end it just flashed up a simple “Download this Ringtone At…” message and a quick link that went to the CPA offer. Pretty simple stuff. Unfortunately, they used copyright protected videos – a big no-no – and got their sites and accounts shut down.
You can still apply this approach, you just can’t use copyrighted information. You need to make good quality videos and give some real content of value in them (the easiest way to do this is just a voice over on top of a PowerPoint slide presentation) and then, of course, a link back to your site.
Use a tool such as Camtasia video or it’s free alternative Jing make great screen captures that can be turned into videos. You can use these tools to make a video tour of your product or offer and then just drop a link at the end of the video.
In order to drive traffic with Videos you also need to tag them properly. This means listing the keywords you are trying to rank for in the descriptions of the video. Keep in mind that the search engines can’t read your content since it is a video, so they rely on these tags to determine the topic of your video and how to list it in the search results.
